Almost

So yesterday I had a doctors appointment. This begins my weekly appointments where they check every time to see if I'm dilated, effaced, and all that other fun stuff that accompanies pushing a human out of my body.

I didn't gain any weight according to my nurse in the past two weeks but I feel as if she may be full of it. Last time I had an appointment it was freezing outside and I wore a thick sweater and a jacket. This time I was just wearing a thin t-shirt, easily 2 pounds of difference.

My blood pressure is perfect, the baby's heartbeat is strong and my belly is measuring right as it should, 36 inches from top to bottom. A few days ago I told Jared I thought that the baby had dropped (meaning that she has moved further down into my pelvis-getting ready to come out) neither of us could tell a physical difference but I have been able to breathe a lot easier meaning she's not curled up in my ribcage anymore :) Yeah for breathing! Well the nurse confirmed what I thought, when she measured me she said it looked as if I had dropped, so our little girl is doing what she's suppose to be doing and getting ready to come out.

The doctor checked me and said that I am not dilated at all but that I am 50% effaced and that Addiston is most definitely head down. So her guess is no baby this week but things are progressing and looking good. I'm almost considered full term (37 weeks) meaning she can come with no medical worries.

I can't wait to meet her.

  3. I'm so happy for you, and right there with you!!! I am so ready to get this baby out of me!!! I think God makes the end of pregnancy so difficult to bear that we actually welcome the pain of labor so that we can A. Meet the little miracle, and B. Get out of this misery called the last weeks of pregnancy. :) I hope your labor and delivery go well! I have 12 days until my due date, and Gavin was 3 days early...so, any day now...
I'm glad everything is going well and the baby is in the right position. Remember, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, that's what I chanted while having Cora :) I can't wait to see pictures :) God bless you and your husband!
